About Square Root Planters

Thank you for all the support my friends! We are closed for the summer season. We are a new and small plant nursery with over 450 types of vegetable starts. We do things a little different. We do this for our community, cutting the cost of veggie and fruit starts in half. We have over 450 different plants on rotation as the season progresses. Special requests are highly encouraged to add to our 2027 sowing plan. We also love it when our customers bring back the pots so we can reuse them, keeping even more plastic out of the landfill. Reusing the pots helps keeps the cost down for everyone in the future. We hope to see you soon in September and happy gardening!

I can’t say enough good things about Square Root Planters! They offer beautiful, high quality plants at great prices, including many unique varieties that are hard to find elsewhere. Tammy and Adam are some of the kindest, most knowledgeable people you’ll meet. They are always welcoming, happy to answer questions, and genuinely passionate about helping people succeed in their gardens. Shopping here feels like visiting friends. I highly recommend Square Root Planters to anyone looking for healthy plants, expert advice, and a wonderful local nursery experience.

2nd year coming here, never disappointed. I have a huge garden and buy 150+ plants. I've only lost 4 out of what I've purchased here. Friendly, accommodating and interesting species.

We had such a great experience with Square Root Planters! The quality of their work is outstanding, and you can tell they truly care about every project they take on. The team was professional, friendly, and easy to communicate with from start to finish. Our space looks absolutely beautiful now. The attention to detail, plant selection, and overall design completely exceeded our expectations. They listened to what we wanted and brought it to life perfectly. If you are looking for a company that delivers top quality work with genuine passion, Square Root Planters is the one to call. We will definitely be using them again and recommending them to friends and family. Thank you for making our vision a reality!

Lovely local nursery for starts! The selection is largely veggies, but has an excellent herb selection and some other miscellaneous goodies. Everything looked healthy, happy, and had great prices. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.
